Nothing works for everyone. However, the primary methodology I use, called Core Transformation, works with an amazingly large range of clients. It can help almost everyone. And some really high quality research has been done that shows it helps people change their problems, while also increasing an ongoing sense of wellbeing.

How fast people change varies by the individual. Most people notice some positive shifts in their experience from the first session, and some notice significant shifts, even from one session. Some people are dealing with issues that are more complex, so then of course it takes more persistence to work through it. And I wouldn’t say that anyone is necessarily 100% stress-free all the time; however, the stress level can come down quite remarkably, and can even be 100% gone within a specific type of situation. In other words, the person may no longer have any stress response to a certain trigger that we worked on.
Most people will notice some shifts in their experience after 1-3 sessions. This may be a full resolution of the issue they are working with, or progress toward a full resolution. With the CT process, we do a guided inner exploration that leads reliably to states that people may call ‘inner peace, oneness, wholeness, love,’ etc. This is a felt experience, not just a cognitive thought. People often use the word ‘profound’ to express what the experience is like for them.
And, what’s unique about CT is that not only do we access these states, we also integrate these wellbeing states with daily life. So it goes beyond just meditating to get a restful state separately from our life challenges, it actually transforms our response in the moment of these life challenges.
In a certain way, yes. However, the main thrust of the work is in transforming the experience. You know how some people totally understand their problem, and they can tell you exactly why they have it and etc., yet the problem is still there? Many people think if only they understand their problem well enough, then it will change. However, in actuality, this usually doesn’t work very well. So instead, I…” (This leads into the next answer.)
I gather a little information, and then guide the client in a very gentle inner exploration. We engage the unconscious in the work, which is a key to effectiveness no matter the method. And we explore, using precise questioning, the deepest yearnings of our inner nature, which are always very positive, profound, and transformative.
I’m not an expert in x, so I can’t give you an in-depth comparison. However, here are some ways that CT is different from other approaches in general:
